STARION AGAINST CANCER

CANCER MISSION STATEMENT

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States. This year over 550,000 Americans will die of cancer and on average another 3,000 are diagnosed with it a daily! They are our brothers, our sisters, our parents our spouses, our friends our families and ourselves.

The founders of Starion Energy have been directly affected by this dreadful disease. “Having a partner that lost his mother to pancreatic cancer within six months of diagnosis and a partner who is a survivor of Hodgkin’s Disease, a form of lymphatic cancer, we are always conscious of our greater responsibilities of helping others.” Inspired to act by our own personal and family experiences, Starion Energy is dedicated to helping families affected by cancer and to fund cancer research with the goal of curing this disease.

Keeping in line with our company’s mission statement, to work closely with other organizations who are passionate about helping others, we are excited to support organizations like: the CT Sports Foundation Against Cancer (now The CT Cancer Foundation), which brings relief to families who are going through a difficult period, the Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven, the research of Dr Joachim Yahalom, attending Radiation Oncologist and Member, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of NY and professor of Radiation Oncology at Cornell Medical College, and the Joe Garassino Foundation.

We have recognized that many cancer patients and families are confronted with financial hardships during a time when focusing on healing and recovery is vital. Through the partnership with CSF (now CCF), we can quickly and compassionately ease their burden by providing resources with dignity and privacy while lessening the stresses that may inhibit their recovery. Starion is committed to the fight against cancer. Please join us in our endeavor and begin your involvement in diminishing the suffering and providing funding for research.
